50Introduction The Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center (ADC) is currently looking for a career minded individual to serve as the Clinical Services Case Manager (Mental Health Director).
As the Mental Health Director, you'll be responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision to a vibrant team of diverse professionals who focus on helping mentally ill and co-occurring individuals who have contact with the criminal justice system.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate ability to practice collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams; Ability to plan and implement programs to meet the needs of both clients and stakeholders.
Ability to motivate independent clinical professionals to perform as a team at a high level.
Ability to establish and implement policies and procedures to enhance treatment effectives and efficiency.
Advanced knowledge of current treatment interventions for individuals with behavioral health disorder and/or co-occurring substance use disorders; trauma informed care; psychopharmacology and crisis intervention.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Nature of Work:
The present position will be the Director of Mental Health Services at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center.
Incumbents supervise clinical case management staff, and ensures the compliance and quality of department services and programs.
Responsibilities may include, supervising staff, providing training, guidance, reviews and evaluations of subordinates and cases, preparing reports and performing case management duties.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
This position is responsible for ensuring clinical service department compliance, ensuring departmental case management and supervising staff members.
Providing clinical supervision towards licensure for the mental health staff.

Responsibilities:
Supervises staff to include, prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, ensuring staff are trained, ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures, maintaining a healthy and safe working environment and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
Performs clinical services case management including identifying community resources, advocating for clinical services provisions, assessing current services, and monitoring overall service functions.
Assists staff members in providing crisis management, clinical assessments, and counseling, and provides consultation with individuals/families to ensure services are meeting client needs.
Provides clinical services coordination for external vendors and partners and serves as point of contact for external vendors.
Prepares a variety of reports related to clinical service areas.
Ensure that the mental health staff are supplied supervision towards their licensure.
Manages grant budgets and reports.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Knowledge:

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of related experience.
Minimum requirements may vary based upon state mandates.
Special Requirements:
Must be a Clinical Supervisor in the Commonwealth of Virginia Clinical Psychologist is appropriate for this role.
3-5 years experience of providing clinical evaluations and case management services to seriously mentally ill adults and 2-3 years of clinical supervisory experience.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related behavioral field.
A licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner, or a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Specific work-related history in a jail or correctional environment.
Physical Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require:
climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Light Work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, chemicals, oils and travel.
Working Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through, Friday 8 hour rotations; there are times this position may require and include evening hours, weekend and on-call.
A commitment is made to offer scheduling flexibility as the program allows.
Entry Salary:
$88,939.
50-$148,785.
00 annually Starting salary beyond minimum is based on verified related work experience.
