Intermediate Sports Instructor (Recreation Instructor- Intermediate Sports)- Chinn
IntroductionCALLING ALL EXCEPTIONAL SPORTS INSTRUCTORS! The Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism (DPRT) IS LOOKING FOR YOU!The Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center is a premier fitness and aquatics site that offers a multitude of specialized sports programs for ages 3-16 in the form of Camps, Clinics and Leagues.
We have previously offered indoor and outdoor programming in a number of different sports to include:
soccer, lacrosse, basketball, volleyball, and football.
Our instructors work independently and are responsible for activity planning, supervision of children, participant safety, customer service, and providing a quality experience to those enrolled in the program.
Sports Instructors must:
- Have prior experience and knowledge to be able to teach others.
- Be excited to share their sport with children.
- Have the ability to demonstrate a high level of competence.
- Have the ability to care for the program and its participants.
Chinn Clinics and Leagues operate on weekday evenings and can vary dependent on the sport.
Summer camp programs are generally offered Monday-Friday evenings between the hours of 6:
30-9pm.
Weekend programming are generally offered on Saturdays between the hours of 9:
00a-12pm.
All program offerings can vary depending on the type of program, time, length, and size.
It is important to note that employee hours are based upon class enrollments and cannot be guaranteed.
This position requires 12 months of experience in a related program area.
This position has a minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
The Department of Parks & Recreation conducts DMV records checks on all employees driving for work purposes and criminal background checks on all hires age 18 years and older.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS8th grade education and 0-12 months of related experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSMust be at least 18 years old.
May require a State/Federal background check.
