The Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center (ADC) is currently looking for a career minded Clinical Services Caseworker to join its team-oriented staff.

Provides Mental Health Services to the inmate population.
Provide clinical evaluation, assessment, intervention, counseling, therapy, treatment and rehabilitation for inmates.
Work in group therapy settings, as well as one on one sessions.
Coordinates with inmates to identify treatment plan goals and needs.
Provide recommendations to jail staff for housing of mentally ill inmates.
Determine appropriate treatment for inmates and follow up reports.
Provides crisis intervention to include those at high risk for suicide/homicide and evaluate potential need for hospitalization.
Prepares and a maintains records, files and documentation.
Serve as liaison for the Adult Detention Center in clinical review with the Community Service Board/Emergency Services and Forensic Mental Health Hospitals.
This position is responsible for providing release planning and case management for offenders upon their release from Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center.
This position will work with our local government agencies and community partners to provide those services to address the needs of our prior to and post release.

PREFRRED SKILLS:
Prefer correctional environment experience, 1-2 years of related post-graduate professional experience providing individual/group therapy services in a human services environment, providing clinical assessments, crisis interventions, mental health and substance abuse comprehensive assessments, short term treatment planning and ability to work with involuntary clients, and case management skills (9 months of clinical supervised experience can be substituted for 1 year of related post-graduate professional experience).
Prefer LCSW, LPC or eligible to obtain LCSW or LPC in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Prefer a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral science field.
LEVEL OF DECISIONS:
Responsibilities are typically broad in nature, usually requiring some originality and ingenuity to ensure an appropriate alignment between assignments and organizational policies and objectives.
Incumbents typically have appreciable latitude for determining the appropriate actions, decisions, or processes to utilize.
These determinations are guided by advanced training and knowledge in the area of assignment.
DIRECTION RECEIVED:
Incumbents apply departmental and organizational policies and procedures to specific situations; may adapt standard procedures as necessary to achieve objectives; and work under general supervision.
EDCUATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Early Childhood Special Education endorsement by Virginia Department of Education is preferred.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker and /or Licensed Professional Counselor accreditations are preferred.
Qualified Mental Retardation Professional License required within 30 days of hire:
Valid Driver's License.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Light Work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises and travel.
Work is performed in an inherently stressful environment and involved risked to personal safety with possible exposure to blood borne and air borne pathogens in working environment.
WORKING SCHEDULE:
Full time 40 hours per week-Monday-Friday-8 hour rotationNOTE:
